Ethereum Foundation: Improving User Experience: Near-Term Strategy Focuses on Intent-Based Architecture and Universal Messaging
The Ethereum Foundation published a document highlighting its "Improving User Experience" strategy and mission: to provide individuals and institutions with a seamless, secure, and permissionless experience across the Ethereum ecosystem. It believes that interoperability, along with the related projects mentioned in this article, will be the highest-leverage opportunity in the broader user experience space over the next 6 to 12 months. The recent strategy focuses on intent-based architecture and universal messaging, which will reduce costs and improve security by clarifying protocol metrics. The work is divided into three directions: 1. Initialization: making intents more modular and lightweight, and strengthening shared standards to enable seamless and secure movement of assets across all chains; 2. Acceleration: reducing latency and costs, and speeding up inclusion, confirmation, finalization, and settlement; 3. Finalization: integrating cutting-edge consensus and encryption technologies to unlock fast, permissionless cross-chain messaging.
