Japan's Financial Services Agency plans new cryptocurrency and innovation unit

In the field of crypto assets, the functions of the existing "Crypto Assets and Innovation Advisory Office", "Fund Settlement Monitoring Office" and "Settlement and Digital Financial Group Monitoring Office" will be integrated, and the newly established department will be responsible for regular market monitoring, fulfillment of explanation obligations in sales solicitations, implementation of adaptive supervision and response to systemic risks.
