Glassnode: Bitcoin long-term holders sold about 97,000 BTC last Friday, setting a new year high

According to Glassnode data, selling activity by long-term Bitcoin (LTH) holders has recently accelerated, with the 14-day moving average indicating increased activity, though still within the normal range for the current cycle and below the peak seen in October-November 2024. Last Friday, LTH sold approximately 97,000 BTC in a single day, the largest single-day sell-off of the year. Based on the duration of holding, this BTC sell-off primarily came from the following groups: Holders of 1-2 years (approximately 34,500 BTC); Holders of 6-12 months (approximately 16,600 BTC); Holders of 3-5 years (approximately 16,000 BTC). These groups collectively accounted for approximately 70% of the total sell-off.
