EU regulator warns: Tokenized stocks could mislead retail investors

Natasha Cazenave, executive director of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), said that tokenized stocks, as a new type of digital asset, whose prices are linked to the share prices of listed companies, may give investors a false sense of ownership and thus undermine market confidence.
