OKX fined $2.6 million by the Netherlands for not registering with the Dutch National Bank

The Dutch Central Bank (DNB) has fined OKX, a crypto exchange, €2.25 million (approximately $2.6 million) for providing cryptocurrency services in the Netherlands without registering with the country's financial regulator. The fine covers the period from July 2023 to August 2024, before the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Directive (MiCA) came into effect.
