Nasdaq seeks SEC approval for stock tokenization

Nasdaq is looking to bring stocks to the blockchain, filing an application with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Monday seeking approval to move forward with the plan—as the rest of the securities industry races toward the same goal of tokenizing assets.
