Trump aides' involvement in massive chip and cryptocurrency transactions sparks ethics scrutiny

Massachusetts Senators Elizabeth Warren and Elissa Slotkin of Michigan have written to the State and Commerce Department inspectors general, asking for an investigation into whether Trump administration officials violated ethics rules in two multibillion-dollar deals involving the United Arab Emirates. One of the deals benefited the family of President Trump and his adviser Steve Witkoff, while the other, an artificial intelligence chip export deal, raised national security concerns.
