Previously, the Ministry of Finance's government debt management function was mainly undertaken by the Government Debt Management Office of the Budget Department; the Treasury Department had a Treasury Bond Management Office and a Treasury Bond Issuance and Redemption Management Office, which were responsible for the issuance and redemption of government domestic debt and other related management work.
