The U.S. Department of Justice confirmed it has seized 127,000 Bitcoins, the largest confiscation case in history.

The announcement stated that the crypto assets were obtained through fraud and money laundering by the defendants and were originally stored in non-custodial wallets controlled by them. The US has now obtained the private keys and seized the funds' storage addresses. The Department of Justice stated that this is the largest crypto asset forfeiture action in US history.
