Binance Completes Acquisition of South Korean Crypto Exchange Gopax

Binance has completed its acquisition of South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Gopax. On Wednesday, South Korea's Financial Intelligence Analysis Service (FIAS) approved a change in key management personnel at Gopax after a delay of over two years. Gopax requested the change in February 2023, following Binance's acquisition of a 67% majority stake. Previously, South Korean regulators had delayed full approval of Binance's acquisition of Gopax, citing potential anti-money laundering risks.
