Bloomberg: Crypto Exchange HTX Sued by UK FCA for Illegal Asset Promotion

The UK's financial regulator has filed a lawsuit against several entities under the crypto exchange HTX. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) filed the Financial and Regulatory Services lawsuit in London's High Court on Tuesday—further details of which have not yet been released. Previously, the FCA had warned potential clients against using the platform. In an emailed statement, the FCA said: "The FCA has commenced civil proceedings in the High Court against the global crypto exchange HTX for breaching the UK financial promotion regime by illegally promoting crypto asset services to UK consumers. This action reflects our commitment to protecting consumers and upholding the integrity of the UK financial markets."
