Trump supporter and Palantir co-founder Joe Lonsdale opposes Trump's pardon of Changpeng Zhao
Joe Lonsdale, a Palantir co-founder and one of President Trump's deep-pocketed supporters, has publicly opposed yesterday's pardon of cryptocurrency billionaire Changpeng Zhao, who was previously convicted of anti-money laundering violations and sentenced to four months in prison. Zhao posted on the X platform, "I support President Trump. This administration could have been the best I've ever seen—if it weren't for these pardons. By any objective standard, these pardons are completely unjustified. The President has been seriously misled about this, and it creates the impression that a major financial fraud is taking place around him." This criticism, coming from within Trump's political allies, highlights potential skepticism about the Trump family's business dealings in the cryptocurrency sector.
