Central Bank: Improve the adaptability of financial services to the real economy and steadily advance the development and application of digital RMB

The Party Committee of the People's Bank of China held a meeting to convey and study the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. The meeting emphasized the need to continue deepening structural reforms on the financial supply side. Focusing on the "five major areas" of science and technology finance, green finance, inclusive finance, pension finance, and digital finance, the adaptability of financial services to the real economy will be improved, supporting key areas and weak links in the national economy. The policy framework for science and technology finance will be improved, and the capacity, intensity, and level of financial support for scientific and technological innovation will be enhanced. Various financial institutions will be promoted to be more rational in terms of scale, structure, and regional layout. A standardized, transparent, open, dynamic, and resilient financial market system will be established. A safe and efficient financial infrastructure system will be established. The development and application of the digital RMB will be steadily advanced.
