Trump is demolishing the East Wing of the White House to make way for a magnificent ballroom. The president said the $300 million cost will not be borne by taxpayers, but by private donors, including himself. A list of donors released by the White House on Thursday includes some of the largest US tech companies, including Amazon, Apple, Google, Meta, and Microsoft. Google's YouTube has agreed to pay more than $20 million toward the project. The cryptocurrency sector also performed well, with donations from Ripple, TetherAmerica, Coinbase, and the Winklevoss brothers (Cameron and Tyler appear on the list). Additionally, giants such as Lockheed Martin, Comcast, T-Mobile, and Palantir are on the list.
