Ghana's central bank governor: cryptocurrency regulations will be introduced before the end of the year

The Governor of the Bank of Ghana announced that cryptocurrency regulations will be introduced by the end of the year, with the bill now submitted to Parliament. The new regulations will strengthen exchange registration requirements to meet the crypto investment needs of 3 million Ghanaians (9% of the population).
