Hong Kong expands digital RMB application, with nearly 400 convenience stores now supporting e-CNY payments

Bank of China (Hong Kong) announced that it has partnered with convenience store chain Circle K and vending machine operator FreshUp. Starting from October 27, 2025, more than 380 Circle K stores in Hong Kong and the first batch of 1,200 FreshUp vending machines will officially support digital RMB (e-CNY) payments.
