The ICBA has requested that Coinbase be denied a banking license, to which Coinbase accuses it of protectionism.

The Independent Community Bankers Association (ICBA) called on the OCC to reject Coinbase's application for a National Trust banking license, to which Coinbase's legal counsel retorted that this was protectionism.
