Apple plans to pay approximately $1 billion annually to bring in Google Gemini to power the new version of Siri.

The new Siri is expected to launch next spring, with some functions still using Apple's own model, running on Apple's Private Cloud Compute to isolate data. This solution serves as a transition, with Apple developing a cloud model with approximately 1 trillion parameters in parallel, aiming to eventually replace Gemini.
