Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva submitted Bill 5.582/2025 to Congress, authorizing financial institutions to liquidate cryptocurrencies before a trial outcome, treating them the same as foreign exchange, checks, and securities. However, it remains unclear what will happen if the suspect is found not guilty.
