European stocks extended their losses during the session, and futures for the three major U.S. stock indexes also widened their declines.

Germany's DAX index fell 1.4%, France's CAC40 index fell 1.32%, and the UK's FTSE 100 index fell 1.1%. Nasdaq futures extended their losses to 1%, Dow futures fell 0.44%, and S&P 500 futures fell 0.63%.
