Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission: Beware of suspicious investment products "Goldpay Token (GPT)" and "Gold Receipt (GR)"

The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has warned the public to be wary of suspicious investment products called “Goldpay Token (GPT)” and “Gold Receipt (GR)”. These products involve digital tokens pegged to physical gold. These investment products have not been authorized by the SFC for sale to the Hong Kong public. The SFC notes that information about these products can be accessed by the Hong Kong public through their respective websites, social media accounts, and related mobile applications.
