Thailand's data regulator has ordered World to delete over 1.2 million iris scans and suspend operations.

Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Commission has ordered World (formerly known as Worldcoin), the digital identity project co-founded by Sam Altman, to delete approximately 1.2 million iris scan records in Thailand and suspend operations, ruling that exchanging cryptocurrency for biometric data violates local data laws.
