The Euro Stablecoin Alliance will appoint a former executive from Coinbase, Germany, as its CEO.

Ten major European banks, including ING and UniCredit, have formed an Amsterdam-based company to launch a stablecoin pegged to the euro, a move that could help them counter the United States’ dominance in digital payments.
