A British white-collar worker was sentenced to 33 months in prison for embezzling over £500,000 from his company and converting it into cryptocurrency for gambling.

Jason Lowe, a 39-year-old man from North Yorkshire, England, embezzled over £500,000 (approximately US$659,500) of company funds while working for his employer between 2016 and 2024. He converted the funds into cryptocurrency for online gambling and was ultimately sentenced to 33 months in prison.
