US CFTC: Spot cryptocurrencies can now be traded on exchanges registered with the CFTC.

Acting Chair Caroline D. Pham of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) announced today that listed spot cryptocurrency products will begin trading for the first time on the U.S. federally regulated market of a futures exchange registered with the CFTC. Today's announcement follows the recommendations of the President's Working Group on Digital Asset Markets, incorporates insights from stakeholders in the CFTC's "Crypto Sprint" initiative, and reflects collaboration with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
