Russian lawmakers will focus on cryptocurrencies and stablecoins in 2026.

Anatoly Aksakov, chairman of the Financial Markets Committee of the State Duma (lower house of parliament) of Russia, said that cryptocurrencies and stablecoins will be a focus of Russia's legislative work next year, and building a legal framework for digital finance will be a top priority as Russia begins to regulate its crypto sector.
