The Shanghai branch of the People's Bank of China warns against scams disguised as promotion of the digital yuan.

Recently, some criminals have been using the guise of "promoting digital RMB" and "recruiting promoters" to lure the public into participating in group chats online and brainwashing them with "exams" and "courses," thus carrying out pyramid scheme-style fraud.
