The FBI has dismantled a cryptocurrency money laundering platform operated by Russians, involving more than $70 million.

The U.S. Department of Justice revealed that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), in conjunction with European law enforcement agencies, has dismantled a transnational money laundering platform that primarily facilitated cryptocurrency cash-out for cybercriminals. The platform, named E-Note, was operated by a Russian citizen and handled over $70 million in illicit funds since 2017, including assets extorted or stolen from victims in the United States.
