Superheat has launched a $2,000 electric water heater that can mine Bitcoin. The device consumes the same amount of energy as a regular water heater, but it uses an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) mining rig to recoup costs, thus offsetting some of the hot water expenses. However, the company's promotional materials do not yet list information such as power output and watt-hours (TH/s).
