JPMorgan Chase Chief Financial Officer Jeremy Barnum warned during the fourth-quarter earnings call that yield-generating stablecoins could give rise to a “parallel banking system” lacking the regulatory safeguards of traditional banks, which is “dangerous and undesirable.”
