Figure launches the OPEN platform, enabling direct stock lending transactions on the blockchain.

According to Bloomberg, Figure Technology has launched a new platform called "OPEN" (On-Chain Public Equity Network), which allows companies to issue real equity tokens on its Provenance blockchain, enabling shareholders to borrow and lend shares directly without going through traditional brokers or custodians.
