SWIFT: Global use of the US dollar in transactions jumps to a new high

The US dollar's share of international transactions rose to 50.5% in December, up from 46.8% in the previous month. Among major reserve currencies, the euro (accounting for about 22%) followed, then the pound sterling, the Canadian dollar, the Japanese yen, and the renminbi.
