Analysis: The US economy maintained growth at the beginning of the year, but the pace has slowed.

Chris Williamson, chief business economist at PwC Global Market Intelligence, said the preliminary U.S. PMI readings showed that the economy continued to grow at the beginning of the year, but further signs indicate that the pace of economic growth has slowed since the start of the new year.
