Kalinowski posted on social media that the decision was "not easy," emphasizing the role of artificial intelligence in national security, but stressing the need for more careful discussion on issues such as "unsupervised U.S. surveillance" and "lethal autonomous weapons without human authorization." She stated that the decision was "a matter of principle, not personal" and expressed "deep respect" for CEO Sam Altman and the team.
