CoinFeed reported on March 8th, citing CCTV News, that Iranian sources stated on March 8th that a new Supreme Leader has been determined, and Hosseini Busheri, head of the Secretariat of the Council of Experts, will be responsible for the announcement. Alam Khoda, the representative of the late Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei in Reza Khorasan province, stated that the election for the Supreme Leader has been completed and a new leader has been determined. He called all claims and reports that the Council of Experts had not yet made a decision "outright lies." Alam Khoda stated that according to the Iranian constitution, no one, not even members of the Council of Experts, has the right to change this decision.
