CoinFeed reported on March 22 that X platform users discovered a feature switch named "enable_grok_computer" in the Grok web interface source code, speculating that xAI is preparing to launch a computer-controlled intelligent agent called "Grok Computer," essentially a "trial version" of the previously announced Macrohard project. Elon Musk confirmed this in a retweet post, stating "Coming out soon." Macrohard is an AI automation system jointly developed by Tesla and xAI, using Grok as its high-level inference engine, coupled with an AI agent to process screen input and keyboard/mouse actions in real time. Previous reports indicated that data collection for the project was suspended last month.
