US senators have proposed that the Commerce Department review potential national security risks posed by mining company Bitmain.

CoinFeed reported on March 28 that, according to Bloomberg, U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren sent a letter to the Secretary of Commerce on Thursday, requesting documents and other information regarding mining company Bitmain to examine its potential "national security risks." She specifically requested clarification on communications between Bitmain, the Trump family, and the Department of Commerce, questioning whether national security decisions were influenced by political interests.
