Tether laid off two senior gold traders it had poached from HSBC.

CoinFeed reported on March 31 that, according to Bloomberg, stablecoin issuer Tether Holdings has dismissed two senior precious metals traders, Vincent Domien and Mathew O’Neill, who were poached from HSBC several months ago. The two were previously hired to help build the “world’s best gold trading floor” and assist Tether in accumulating gold reserves worth tens of billions of dollars. The report states that their departure from the company is part of a restructuring of Tether’s gold trading team, through which the company was expanding its gold holdings and related trading business.
