CoinFeed reported on April 3 that, according to CoinDesk, US President Trump dismissed Attorney General Pam Bondi and appointed his former personal lawyer, current Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, as acting Attorney General. Blanche previously represented Trump in criminal cases in New York. Upon assuming the position of Deputy Attorney General, he ordered the disbandment of the Justice Department's National Cryptocurrency Enforcement Team and signed a memorandum instructing prosecutors to cease pursuing regulatory violations in the crypto industry.
