CoinFeed reported on April 5th that economist Peter Schiff published an article on the X platform stating that Bitcoin's gains over the past five years have been only about 12%, significantly lagging behind the Nasdaq (57.4%), S&P 500 (59.4%), gold (163%), and silver (181%). He questioned why investors should continue to hold Bitcoin if "superior long-term performance" is the core logic. In response, Michael Saylor, Executive Chairman of MicroStrategy, stated that assessing asset performance requires considering the time frame. Since August 2020, Bitcoin has remained the strongest performing major asset with a significant advantage; if the time horizon is further extended, its lead will continue to widen.
