TrueUp data shows that there are currently over 67,000 software engineering job openings globally, a three-year high, nearly doubling the number of positions since the mid-2023 low. The number of open positions has increased by approximately 30% this year. Despite the rapid development of AI technology, tech companies continue to have strong demand for software engineers and AI-related roles. TrueUp founder Amit Taylor stated, "The claim that 'AI will replace engineers' is not currently reflected in hiring data; companies still have a strong demand for top engineers."
