CoinFeed reported on April 9 that the U.S. Treasury Department's Office of Cybersecurity and Critical Infrastructure Protection (OCCIP) announced a new cybersecurity information-sharing program for the U.S. digital asset industry. This program will provide eligible digital asset companies and industry organizations with the same actionable cyber threat intelligence available to traditional financial institutions, free of charge, to help them identify, prevent, and respond to cyberattacks targeting customers and networks. The Treasury Department stated that this initiative implements the recommendations of the President's Working Group on Digital Asset Markets in its report, "Strengthening American Leadership in Digital Financial Technology," and reflects the GENIUS Act's principle of "supporting responsible innovation with strong cybersecurity."
