CoinFeed reported on April 10th that, according to Bloomberg, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell convened an emergency closed-door meeting in Washington this week with CEOs of several systemically important banks to discuss potential cybersecurity risks posed by Anthropic's next-generation AI model, Mythos. The report states that regulators are concerned that the model could automatically identify and exploit vulnerabilities in mainstream operating systems and browsers under user commands, potentially allowing hackers to launch new types of cyberattacks.
