CoinFeed reported on April 11 that, according to Jinshi News, senior Iranian military officials denied reports of any US vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian sources stated that as negotiations entered the expert level, some members of the Iranian delegation's specialized committees had traveled to the negotiation site to participate in consultations. Iran claimed to have detected a US destroyer sailing from Fujairah port in the UAE towards the Strait of Hormuz. After closely monitoring its movements, the Iranian armed forces immediately notified the Iranian delegation negotiating in Pakistan. The delegation then conveyed its position to the US through Pakistani mediators and issued a clear warning to the destroyer: if it continued to approach the Strait of Hormuz, it would be attacked within 30 minutes, and the negotiations would be affected. Due to the resolute response of the Iranian armed forces and the timely warning from the negotiating team, the US ultimately ordered the destroyer to stop and turn back.
