Deutsche Börse invests $200 million in cryptocurrency exchange Kraken

According to Bloomberg, Deutsche Börse AG has invested $200 million in Payward Inc., the parent company of cryptocurrency trading platform Kraken, acquiring approximately 1.5% of its fully diluted equity. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter, subject to regulatory approval. Kraken was valued at approximately $20 billion in a share sale last November.
