Hyperbridge has revised its estimated losses from the gateway contract attack to approximately $2.5 million.

CoinFeed reported on April 16 that Hyperbridge announced its token gateway was attacked on April 13. Initial losses have been revised from approximately $237,000 to approximately $2.5 million, primarily due to damage to incentive pools on Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain, and Arbitrum. The attackers first withdrew approximately 245 ETH from the relevant TokenGateway contract, then bypassed MMR proof verification by forging cross-chain messages, minted 1 billion cross-chain DOT tokens, and dumped them in illiquid pools.
