DoubleZero launches Edge low-latency on-chain data transfer service

CoinFeed reported on April 16th that, according to The Block, the DoubleZero Foundation announced that its on-chain data transmission platform, Edge, based on the global fiber optic DePIN network, has entered public beta. Edge provides Solana with real-time, low-latency distribution of raw block data "shreds," claiming an average 6-millisecond advantage for clients under normal conditions, reaching as fast as 20 milliseconds in Europe, 80 milliseconds in the US, and over 100 milliseconds in Asia during block congestion. Major Solana infrastructure providers such as Jito, Temporal, Staking Facilities, and Triton have joined, with approximately 350 data publishers at Edge's launch.
