Binance appoints Thiago Sarandy as President of Brazil

CoinFeed reported on April 16 that Binance announced the appointment of Thiago Sarandy as Diretor-Geral (Head of General) for the Brazilian market, overseeing the fifth-largest cryptocurrency market globally and the largest in Latin America. Sarandy joined Binance in 2022 and has been leading discussions on the Brazilian cryptocurrency regulatory framework, working with regulators and legislators to push for the enactment of the first regulatory bill for virtual asset platforms. Prior to that, he served as Head of Regulatory and Legal Affairs for Binance Brazil and El Salvador for four years, and has a background as a legal executive at traditional financial institutions such as Genial Investments and Warren Investments.
