CoinFeed reported on April 17th that, according to CoinDesk, Kraken's parent company, Payward, has agreed to acquire crypto derivatives platform Bitnomial for up to $550 million in cash and stock, valuing the latter at approximately $20 billion. Bitnomial holds a full suite of licenses in the United States, including Designated Contract Market (DCM), Derivatives Clearing House (DCO), and Futures Commission Merchant (FCM), covering spot margin, perpetual contracts, and options. This transaction will integrate Bitnomial's compliant clearing and settlement infrastructure with Kraken, NinjaTrader, and Payward's B2B services, accelerating its expansion in the regulated crypto derivatives market in the United States.
