CoinFeed reported on April 20th, citing a report from Israel Today citing the newspaper, that three US and regional diplomatic sources stated that Iran has agreed to transfer all of its enriched uranium, but it is currently unclear who will receive the material. Current options include: Russia, which has already expressed its willingness to receive it; the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which needs to find another location for storage and processing; or the United States. The US has requested to participate in the location of the enriched uranium, but Iran has not yet agreed, only preparing to allow IAEA personnel to participate. This progress made in recent weeks of contact between the US and Iran is the reason for Trump's optimistic attitude, but several fundamental differences remain between the two sides. Prior to this report in the Israeli media, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister stated that Iran would never hand over enriched uranium to the United States.
